In January the County Board typically co-sponsors with University Extension office and Mexico FFA for the Soils/Crop conference. Thank-A-Farmer week is promoted in February with Agriculture education in local schools in Audrain County and the Proclamation signing at the courthouse with the County Commissioners.   Also in February, the Audrain County Board also co-sponsors with the Mexico Young Farmers a Marketing/Commodities meeting at the Mexico High School, where a guest from the Farm Bureau’s home office discusses the current marketing/commodities outlook.  Agriculture education is promoted in various elementary classrooms.  Area teachers are encouraged each year to acquire mini-grants for their classroom projects.  Youth Leadership Day in April is held every year in Jefferson City, this give the  FFA members from Mexico, Van-Far and Community R-VI opportunities to visit with our legislators.  The Board sponsors a county family at the State Fair in August.  Our County Annual meeting is held each year in August for our local members.
